I had arrived in Craiova after having received my acceptance letter for UMF. I was looking for a reasonably priced apartment and I had minimal understanding of the Romanian language. Adi, from MeetRomania, really helped me get settled here, straight from when I arrived he told me all the important places around the city and showed me where they were located. Also, he is very proficient in both English and Romanian so there was no difficulty in communication. He acted like a personal chauffeur to me and he was at my disposal at any time during my initial stay here, night or day. He really helped me get settled in here and told me what to do and where to go for my immigration documents, which would have been very confusing if I had to do it alone, and he was overall very patient and professional with me.

I have known Adi for several years as a translator and a driver. He has always been very kind and helpful. He is fluent in Engish and has translated for many of my friends over the years and has always done a wonderful job. I would highly recommend him to anyone coming to Romania, not just for translating but for his knowledge of Romania, its customs and its laws.

I used several times the services provided by Adrian Voicu and Marius, one of his colleagues, for myself and for my parents. He is professional, trustworthy and inspire confidence. He helped me transport my parents and my in-laws from Craiova to Bucharest back and forth, picked them up from the airport, and from their apartment, several times; both my parents in-laws were flying to USA via London. He was polite, professional and friendly all the time, helped them with the heavy luggage on the stairs, which I appreciated very much because I was not able to travel with my parents at that time. I also appreciated the non-smoking environment, providing for refreshments and small breaks if the trip takes a bit longer.
I am glad that after leaving Craiova and Romania 20 years ago, I come back to visit and see professional level service and people working hard to satisfy customers, something that is often seen and expected in the West and USA, but did not use to be the case in Romania. Now things have changed for the better and I am glad to see services evolving in the right direction. Adi, keep up the good work, keep the level of professional service high at a reasonable price, and I am sure more people will come and appreciate not only the service but also visiting Romania! Now that the economy has taken a turn for the better, I am sure visitors will appreciate even more the culture and beauty of Romania and the friendliness of the people.

I used Adi’s services when i was settling my daughter into university in Romania. I had only a few days to spend in Romania and i was really troubled on how to achieve so many things and ensure my daughter’s comfort in just 1 week and travel back to Nairobi for my meetings. Adi picked us from the airport, his mastery of English language is at par with any international level of reference. He provided safe, courteous driving service all the way from Bucharest to Craiova. It was such a smooth arrival process into Romania interior that i did not feel like a first time traveler to Romania at all!…To my amazement i ended up spending only 4 days in romania because Adi was able to secure a safe, affordable apartment for my daughter in just 2 days (walking distance to the campus!), enlist her for processing of her relevant documents and took us around to identify relevant places (utilities, groceries, supermarkets, forex bureau, bank etc). So i had more than enough time leftover to travel back to Nairobi and prepare for my meetings. To top it off, Adi continues to monitor my daughter as his ward and saves me so much trouble by processing relevant documents/translations on my behalf. This has encouraged me so much that my second daughter is on schedule to also study in romania, because Adi is there to ease the process of settling and integration. I personally recommend his services, integrity and character. He truly offers personalized service.

I highly recommend Adrian as a guide in Romania. He has helped me settle down as a student here in Romania. He showed me around the city, helped me complete my documents and found me an apartment in a narrow time frame. My friend Adrian is trust worthy, punctual, well spoken and very friendly. You won’t regret choosing him!

Thank you “Meet Romania” for your services this past week. Your English is superb and I felt very safe riding as a passenger. This was not my first time to use “Meet Romania”. In the past, I have enjoyed the courtesy and the knowledge of the country of Romania. They always go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need and that you are comfortable for the ride. The car was in excellent condition and comfortable. I go to Romania once a year, and I will always use them for my transportation and translator needs.

Meet Romania is an interesting experience. Adi and the crew provide a wonderful service and they may be some of the first Romanians to actually understand customer service and care about my satisfaction. The transportation and the translation are wonderful. I have been using them for many years now, and am actually in Romania right now with Adi. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a trip into Romania.

I highly recommend Mr. Voicu as a travel assistant to anyone who plans to visit Romania. He provided my elderly parents with shuttle service from Otopeni airport to Craiova on several occasions. He was not only highly professional, punctual, courteous and entertaining, but went well beyond the call of duty by assisting my parents with luggage transfer both at the airport and at their home (they live on the 4th floor and like many apartment buildings in Romania have no elevator). All our interactions went flawlessly and the price was very reasonable. I will not hesitate to use Adi’s services both for myself and my relatives whenever we travel to Romania again.

    ” Meet Romania”
I love to travel but sometimes need a breather from ruins, monuments, museums, etc. On a recent AMA Waterways riverboat trip from Budapest to Rousse, Bulgaria – our last excursion with the ship was a long bus ride to and from Bucharest. Since we already planned to spend some days in Bucharest, we chose to arrange something on our own. By email I corresponded with a company called “Meet Romania” and was met at the port in Giurgiu, Romania by Adi .What a delightful day – from the choice of beverages, candy , to sunglasses in case we needed them, Adi took wonderful care of us. As it happens we were in an area not known for tourist attractions so he had actually done research to prepare for our visit. In Giurgiu we visited the County Museum – were the only ones there and were given a complimentary private tour – one of the best done museums on our trip – great history of Romania and well signed in English. Our guide was a proud Romanian patriot and Adi translated when his English needed help.
Though we thought we had had enough museums, this one was really fascinating and the special attention helped. Then we were on the road – out in the country – and saw a very pretty Orthodox church by the roadway. Adi agreed to stop, the door was open and we had a chance to explore a bit. The son of the priest arrived and went to tell his father about us. The Father was so gracious – even invited us to come and eat with him and his family. Best eggs I had ever tasted ( chickens were right there ) -great cheese, bread, olives and even some home made wine. Again Adi did a great job of translating for us and we were able to converse about our countries, the Ukraine and many other topics. Then the priest invited us to return to the church to pray at the icons. He donned his clerical robe and presented my friend and me with a holy card with a prayer for travelers ( in Romanian)
As we continued through the country passing a local funeral, farm workers, bee keepers, etc., Adi gave us a lot of information about Romania. He is 24 and has started his own translation/tour business. He did tell us he was very surprised when he received my e-mail -not much tourist traffic in this area – but he was up to the challenge.
We then were driven through a fascinating town called Buzescu where gypsies or “Romas” have returned to Romania and built mansions! Not the usual “Roma” abodes – each was different and one more grand than the other.
There was a lot more I could share about our day and I know it will always be a wonderful memory of Romania for us.
As a final note, when Adi returned us to our riverboat we paid him in Euros. About 15 minutes later I received a phone call from him – I had confused the Euro price with the price in dollars and overpaid him. He returned to pay me back the extra money
So if you are ever in Romania and would like ” a different way to see Romania”, contact Adi for a truly personal itinerary.

I also travel to Romania to do mission work. It was my pleasure this year to meet Adi and his sweet wife, Anka. They are both very fluent in English and she served as my driver and translator during my visit to Craiova and into the countryside. It is very comforting to know when you are far from home that there are those whom you can trust, not only to be helpful, but to be honest and caring, also. At the conclusion of my stay in Craiova, Adi graciously drove me to Pitesti so that I could attend the funeral of my friend’s mother. I is my hope to return next year and use their services again.

I have traveled to Romania the last 5 years and have used the services of Meet Romania and Adi Voicu every single time. I have found Mr. Voicu to be responsible and responsive to my needs. He has driven for me and provided translation/interpretation services on over 15 occasions. If you are traveling to Romania or areas in Eastern Europe nearby, I recommend Mr. Voicu and I believe you will be very satisfied with the services he provides.

Thank you Adi for always making me feel welcome and comfortable while working in and visiting Romania.

Adi Voicu is a good young man with big aspirations for himself and for Romania’s tourism sector.

We were first looking for an airport transfer only and when I saw the car rental prices, I thought why not just go with a private driver at practically the same price but with the added benefit of having a local (a fluent English speaker at that).

It was a good choice we made. Adi made you feel comfortable and at home from the beginning, automatically earning our trust – which I believe is important when you are traveling slightly off the beaten path in a country like Romania. Further, he was attentive and accommodating as necessary. He has a lot to share about his country’s culture, economy, politics, etc – whatever you wish to learn from him, he is at your disposal. We spent about 7 days starting with a pick up from Bucharest airport, continuing on to Brasov and its touristic surroundings, Sighisoara, Sibiu, and a drop-off in Arad. His car is reliable, comfortable and spacious – and he stocks it with useful little things (tissues, wet wipes, drinks, candies, basic medicines, etc).

If you want a private car and driver in Romania, then have no doubts that you will be in safe and friendly hands with this guy and his budding company.

Arriving in a foreign country as a student is always confusing, but MeetRomania has helped me settle down here by finding me an apartment, showing me around town, and giving useful tips. Even if I am far away from home and family, I have and can rely on them for any problem that arises. As such, I would say MeetRomania is a very flexible company and able to adapt to your needs, be it tourism, translation, guidance, or even just getting around with no fuss involved.

Adi especially is a very helpful guy who knows a lot about the country, the cities, its history, and is available whenever you need him to be.

I would highly recommend using the services of MeetRomania!

Adi, from MeetRomania has been a life-saver! When I arrived in Romania with zero understanding of the language and no means of getting about, Adi helped me with all the necessary legal documents and took great care of me right from the airport to the time I was properly settled in. Adi made the Herculean task of moving into a new country effortless and easy. He is very accomodating and can act as a translator, a chauffeur or as the highly coveted familiar face in a strange country. His services are top-notch and his prices are affordable.

Do contact MeetRomania if you would like to see the sights and wonders of Romania firsthand with someone who knows the ins and outs of the country, can make travelling a breeze and give you a time to remember!

He met us at Bucharest Airport took us to Sibiu then to Sigihoare, then to Brashov and back to Bucharest. Adi was so helpful, reliable, polite and patient. He took us to lots of interesting places which were not on our list. He was really very eagre to show us as many places as he could. Adi was like a son to us helping our disabled friend, never leaving her and trying his best.He was at our disposal from morning to night and never complained about it. He was also very knowledgeable, explaining everything. There was wifi and some other necessitis in the car. What else can I say? If you’re going to visit Romania leave yourself to our dear ADI. Our trip to Romania finally materialised in the third week of May 2017. I had been in touch with Adi Voicu since August last year organising the tour.
I decided that my family and I should make the most of our holiday in Romania so a five-day trip would be practical. Adi suggested a travel circuit with a map by private car from Bucharest incorporating Sibiu, Sighisoara & Brasov. There were sights to see in and around each place.
When my family and I were picked up on the first day from our accommodation, Adi proved to be a charming and personable host. As we travelled all those hundreds of kilometres, Adi brought to our attention all the interesting features of places as we drove past. He was fluent in English and we were taken in by his excellent sense of humour. At times, we confused him by our sense of humour when we said things with a straight face!!
Travelling in Adi’s car those five days was comfortable and pleasant. The pick-up from Bucharest and drop-off at Bucharest went like clockwork.
The scenery was spectacular and arresting. Driving through remote countryside over dirt roads was demanding for the car and often there was no phone signal. However, we were pleased at the photo opportunities.
Importantly, Adi was an excellent interpreter and his knowledge of the background of places was impressive.
We wish Adi and his team all the best in the future.

Adi is a professional! From the early communication and planning for transport from Bucharest to Sibiu, everything went smoothly. He was prompt, personable, and a very informative tour guide. Although we arrived with much more luggage than he anticipated, he miraculously and patiently made it all work. I highly recommend his services!

Adi (Adrian) Voicu, the owner of MeetRomania tours is fabulous! My husband and I hired him to drive us from Bucharest, through Romania, Moldova, Transdniester to Odessa, Ukraine. His English is excellent, his driving smooth and comfortable, very knowledgable and fun to talk with. He is professional, honest and reliable. You can’t go wrong with Adi. In the past, my husband and I have rented our own cars for road trips but this time we opted to hire a car and driver. We are so glad we hired Adi from MeetRomania. He made everything easy and enjoyable by taking over the stressful job of driving and acting as an excellent tour guide as well. We highly recommend him!
